JNF UK is Britain’s oldest Israel charity, supporting the development of the Jewish homeland for 125 years. From building communities to responding in times of crisis, our mission continues to evolve to meet Israel’s changing needs.
We invest in physical and social infrastructure – enhancing education, employment, welfare, culture, and health, particularly in under-resourced areas like the Negev and Galilee.
Today, our work focuses on reducing regional disparities and strengthening community resilience through a wide range of initiatives.

RESPONDING TO NEW CHALLENGES
JNF UK has played a vital role in supporting and strengthening the Jewish homeland for over 125 years. The events of October 7, 2023, marked a profound turning point in JNF UK’s work. In response to the unprecedented devastation in Israel’s south, we mobilised immediately to deliver urgent humanitarian relief, restore vital infrastructure and provide practical and emotional support to traumatised communities.
From its earliest work helping lay the foundations of the State through land development, forestry and infrastructure, JNF UK’s mission has continually evolved to meet Israel’s changing needs.
In recent decades, our focus has centred on improving quality of life in Israel’s peripheries - particularly the Negev and Galilee - by investing in education, welfare, community development, resilience and opportunity. As Israel entered a new phase, JNF UK’s work evolved accordingly - moving beyond immediate relief to support communities in regaining stability, rebuilding essential local frameworks and responding to emerging challenges.
Through deep partnerships on the ground and the steadfast generosity of our donors, JNF UK remains committed not only to helping Israel endure moments of crisis, but to building a stronger and more resilient future for generations to come
JNF UK Today
JNF UK continues to support the people of Israel through one of the most challenging periods in the country’s history. Today, JNF UK’s role is to provide urgent humanitarian assistance while also helping communities rebuild, restoring essential services, strengthening social resilience and creating the conditions for families to return home and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. From repairing bomb shelters and supporting displaced residents, to funding trauma recovery programmes, education initiatives and community infrastructure, our work spans the full journey from crisis response to renewal.
In parallel with this immediate and restorative work, JNF UK continues to invest in the long-term strength of Israel’s peripheral communities, particularly the Negev and the Galilee. Across these regions, our focus remains on reinforcing the local foundations of resilience – supporting education, community infrastructure, social support and the conditions needed for people not simply to endure but to rebuild and move forward.
JNF UK’s operations span several separate but closely related organisations.
JNF Charitable Trust continues to support Israel’s development through direct fundraising activities, including appeals, campaigns and events.
JNF UK Israel Limited comprises our dedicated Israel-based team, who identify needs, implement projects and oversee delivery to the highest standards in close partnership with local authorities, organisations and communities.
95 Church Road Hendon Limited owns the Charity’s head office and supports the operational needs of JNF UK and its UK subsidiaries.
KKL Charity Accounts, operating under the trading name SmartGiving™, provides individual and corporate charity accounts, a fundraising platform and payroll giving services, enabling donors to give in a highly tax-efficient way.
KKL Executor and Trustee Company Limited (KKL E&T) is the legacy arm of JNF UK. It was the first UK organisation in the Jewish community dedicated to administering estates, powers of attorney, executorship and assisting with will drafting. KKL E&T is proud to provide professional, dependable services alongside personalised pastoral care.
