How We Work
Built for long-term impact
Every project and partner supported by JNF UK is chosen for its measurable benefit to local populations and its ability to generate long-term value.
Targeted project selection for maximum impact
In 2025, priorities have included:
Rebuilding damaged community infrastructure and public facilities
Supporting displaced families returning to their homes
Expanding trauma recovery and resilience programmes
Strengthening healthcare capacity, including assistance to Soroka Medical Centre
Providing food security for vulnerable households
Restoring educational and youth services
Direct involvement on the ground
JNF UK is not solely a grant-giving organisation. Our dedicated Israel team works directly with municipalities, community leaders and grassroots organisations to identify priorities, oversee delivery and ensure accountability. This close involvement allows JNF UK to:
Respond rapidly to emergencies
Coordinate large-scale volunteer efforts
Monitor projects continuously to ensure effectiveness
Adapt programmes as needs evolve
Ensure funds are used efficiently and transparently
Thousands of volunteers, including youth groups, community organisations and international supporters, have participated in rebuilding activities, social programmes and emergency initiatives across the country. Their contributions not only deliver practical assistance but also strengthen solidarity and community spirit, reflecting a deep sense of national pride and a shared commitment to the Zionist vision of building and sustaining life across the country.
Environmental responsibility and sustainability
Environmental renewal remains a vital component of JNF UK’s mission. Even in times of crisis, caring for the land provides both practical benefits and powerful symbols of continuity and hope. Latest sustainability initiatives have focused particularly on the establishment of a Memorial Forest honouring the victims of October 7, a living tribute that will serve as a place of remembrance, reflection and renewal for generations to come.
Where possible, environmental considerations are incorporated into reconstruction efforts, ensuring that rebuilding strengthens both communities and the natural landscape.
Social investment for long-term resilience
Beyond immediate relief, JNF UK invests in initiatives that strengthen the long-term social fabric of Israel’s peripheries. These include:
Youth leadership and education programmes
Support services for bereaved families and war orphans
Employment and economic development initiatives
Assistance for at-risk populations
Programmes that foster civic engagement and community responsibility
